Locum OB/GYN Hospitalist Position - Eastern North Carolina
Job Description
Medical Center is seeking Locum BC OB/GYN for inpatient OB Hospitalist coverage
-- January 2027 through August 2027
-- 24-hour in-house shifts; schedule includes call, nights, and weekends
-- Flexible scheduling available based on provider preferences
-- Inpatient only; serves as ED backup for ED consults
-- Responsibilities include labor and delivery, ED consults, GYN service, and emergent GYN surgeries
-- Average inpatient census of 50
-- 10 admissions per day; 5 admissions per night
-- 10% of visits result in admission
-- 10 surgical cases per month per surgeon
-- Call shared with OB/GYN generalists and a Certified Nurse Midwife
-- Established department of 27 physicians and 9 APPs
-- NICU support available on site
-- Will respond to codes
-- Required procedures include cesarean delivery, D&C (obstetric and gynecologic), diagnostic and operative laparoscopy, and urgent/emergent gynecologic cases
-- BLS required
