- 24-hour in-house call shifts -- 3 - 4 shifts per month
- 30-minute call response time required
- Approx. 1,400 deliveries per year -- about 120 per month
- Physicians perform approx. 65% of all deliveries
- Must be comfortable collaborating with a midwife
- High and low risk pregnancy, routine and complicated deliveries
- Skills required: FHR interpretation, OB ultrasound, C-section, VBAC
- GYN procedures: IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, LEEP, open surgery
- Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
