Provide OB/GYN call coverage at a community hospital. This assignment offers immediate coverage with the opportunity for ongoing PRN call coverage for physicians interested in maintaining privileges and supporting future staffing needs.
Dates: August 17 at 7:00 AM – August 23 at 7:00 AM
Details of Assignment:
* 24-hour beeper call only (no clinic responsibilities)
* Daily inpatient rounding on postpartum patients
* Weekend coverage required
* Approximately 7–10 callbacks during the week (average 1–2 per day)
* Estimated 14–20 hours of callback time over the assignment
* Full-scope OB/GYN
* Approximately 90% Obstetrics / 10% Gynecology
* C-sections required
* VBAC experience welcomed but not required
* Circumcisions not required (performed by Pediatrics)
* Urgent GYN procedures may include ectopic pregnancy surgery, ovarian torsion surgery, suction D&C, emergency hysterectomy for hemorrhage control, and abscess removal
* High-risk pregnancies are co-managed with Maternal Fetal Medicine; appropriate patients may deliver locally, with transfers as clinically indicated
* Maternal Fetal Medicine support available
* Level III Trauma Center
* Board Certified or Board Eligible in Obstetrics & Gynecology
