A growing regional cancer program in Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, is seeking a BC/BE Medical Oncologist with a clinical focus and demonstrated interest in breast cancer to help advance comprehensive, multidisciplinary cancer care across the region. Position Highlights: Develop a predominantly breast-focused medical oncology practice within an established regional cancer program Treat patients with early-stage, locally advanced and metastatic breast cancer Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team spanning breast surgery, radiation oncology, radiology, pathology, genetics and supportive care Help shape clinical pathways, quality initiatives and program growth Participate in multidisciplinary breast cancer conferences and treatment planning Manage contemporary therapies, including chemotherapy, endocrine therapy, immunotherapy, HER2-directed therapy and targeted agents Maintain flexibility to treat other solid tumors based on physician interest and community needs Support survivorship, high-risk breast services and long-term follow-up Contribute to clinical research initiatives and identify appropriate patients for available trials Serve as a breast oncology resource for referring physicians throughout North Idaho and the surrounding region Practice within a regional cancer program serving northern Idaho, eastern Washington and western Montana Join a program with an NAPBC-accredited breast center and Commission on Cancer accreditation Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits package Qualifications: Board-certified or board-eligible in Medical Oncology Demonstrated clinical interest and expertise in breast cancer care Commitment to evidence-based, patient-centered oncology care Strong communication and collaboration skills in a multidisciplinary environment Interest in clinical program development, quality improvement and advancing breast cancer services Compensation/Benefits: Competitive compensation package Hospital-employed position Loan assistance available Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance CME allowance Employer retirement contribution Malpractice insurance with tail coverage Location and Lifestyle: Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, offers an appealing blend of outdoor adventure, community charm and convenient amenities.
