This non-profit, regional healthcare system in a Midwest metro of 170K is seeking to add a Radiation Oncology Physician to their growing team of 6 Radiation Oncologists at several locations. This vibrant, family-friendly community is centrally located to Chicago, Indianapolis, and St. Louis and is home to several universities. With excellent schools, affordable housing options, and an abundance of dining, arts, sports, and entertainment options, this big, small town is a great place to live.Base salary up to $600K.  The Radiation Oncologist would have an opportunity to practice external beam radiation therapy. Performing HDR brachytherapy is not required for this position..  Multi-disciplinary setting with weekly Quality Assurance Radiation Oncology Conference (Chart Round), disease site specific Tumor Boards, and a strong support from Medical Oncology and all Surgical Services.  The practice has 1 external beam radiation unit (Varian True Beam with micro-MLCs, CT simulator, and PET/CT unit on site. The practice offers a variety of external beam treatment options: 3D, IMRT with Rapid Arc , SRS, SRT and SBRT.
