Oncology Locums Job in South Carolina | Full Time | Beginning July 1 – Ongoing | Assignment #113874

Coverage Details
-- Monday–Friday, 8:30AM – 4:30PM
-- Coverage will extend beyond December 2026
-- Weekend call rotation: Friday 4:30pm - Monday 8am; every 5th or 6th weekend
-- Credentialing timeframe: approximately 60 days

Requirements
-- Board Certified in Hematology and Oncology
-- Active South Carolina license or IMLC
-- BLS and DEA
-- Clean background required for emergency temporary privileges
-- Ability to commit to an initial contract of at least 6 months

Required Duties
-- Participation in tumor board
-- Management of bone marrow transplant patients
-- Blood bank responsibilities
-- Order laboratory tests and imaging
-- Prescribe medications

Assignment Details
-- Practice setting: Free-standing cancer center
-- Patient population: Adult and Geriatric
-- Case mix: 65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology
-- Physicians on staff: 7
-- Advanced practice providers: 6
-- Average outpatient volume: 25 patients per day
-- Average inpatient/rounding volume: 20 patients per day
-- Permanent call rotation (not applicable during locum): 1 week every 6–8 weeks
-- Chemotherapy administered by oncology nursing staff
-- Site requires providers to treat more than 12 patients per day. 
-- Inpatient is a requirement of this need; outpatient service and the hospital service are separate. A provider would not be covering both on the same day
-- EMR: Epic
