Facility seeking Locum Medical Oncologist
--Dates of Coverage:
November 2 - January 29
Clinic coverage is 8:30a-4:30p
Weekend call rotation: Fri (4:30p) - Mon (8a) - every 5th or 6th weekend
--Free-Standing Cancer Center
--Call Schedule: call schedule is 1 week out of every 6-8 weeks
--Patient Population: Adult, Geriatric
--Reason for Coverage: Loss of provider
--65% benign hematology, 35% malignant oncology, 0% internal medicine
--7 Physicians in Practice and 6 APPs provide coverage
--Average Number of Patients Per Day - OUTPATIENT: 25
--Average Number of Patients Per Day - HOSPITAL (Call/Rounding): 20
--EMR: EPIC
--Required Duties: Participation on a Tumor Board, Mgmt. of Bone Marrow Transplants, Blood Bank, Orders Tests, Orders Images, Prescribes
--Administration of Chemotherapy: Nurse Oncologist
--Site requires providers to treat more than 12 patients per day.
--The outpatient service and the hospital service are separate. A provider would not be covering both on the same day.
--Required: BC Hematology Oncology, SC license and DEA, BLS, clean background, Self Query NPDB report within 30 days
--Candidates who are not willing to participate in inpatient coverage will not be considered.
