Hematology/Oncology Locums Job in South Carolina
Jackson and Coker is partnered with a comprehensive cancer center in Little River, South Carolina, seeking one full-time Hematologist/Oncologist for locum tenens coverage starting soon. Join an established team of two Hematology/Oncology physicians with outpatient APP support, nurse navigators, and nurse educators.
Details/Requirements:--Monday–Friday, first patient appointment at 8:15am
--Adult patients only
--Outpatient clinic, inpatient coverage, and call responsibilities
--1:3 call rotation, with flexibility in call structure
--Call typically managed by phone; new consults may require onsite visits overnight
--Physician on call oversees infusion and must remain onsite until chemotherapy concludes, typically around 5–5:30pm
--Starting volume of at least 10 patients per day, increasing over four weeks; established physicians currently see 28–30 patients daily
--App Support
--Board Certification required
--Active South Carolina license and CSR required
--DEA registration that can be registered in South Carolina
--Minimum of 3–5 years of experience
--Hospital privileges required
