- General Ophthalmologist
The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Comprehensive Ophthalmologist for an open-rank, fixed-term faculty position. This role includes a strong commitment to clinical care, resident teaching and supervision, and medical student education. Academic rank and salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Our Comprehensive Eye Care service handles general eye exams and treats common conditions such as ocular surface disorders and dry eye disease. This clinical specialty also provides ocular disease screening for patients with systemic illnesses. Any patients diagnosed with equivocal or serious eye conditions are readily referred to the appropriate subspecialty area.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
- Successful completion of an ACGME-accredited Ophthalmology residency
- Demonstrated excellence in clinical performance, training, and scholarly activities
- Board certification or board eligibility in Ophthalmology
- Eligibility for medical licensure in the state of North Carolina
