New Pathology Locums Job in Missouri

This is a great opportunity with one of our clients in Missouri. We are seeking a Board Certified Pathologist to provide intermittent coverage throughout the year and into 2027. This assignment offers a flexible schedule, a supportive pathology team, and the opportunity to establish an ongoing relationship for recurring coverage.

Details/Requirements for Assignment #116456:
» Active Missouri license or IMLC required
» Board Certified required
» Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM + night call
» Approximately 40–50 cases/day (surgicals, non-gyn cytology, peripheral smears) with overflow support from an outside pathology team
» General surgical pathology including GI, GYN, Breast, GU, Liver, Skin, Lung, ENT, Neuropathology, Organ Procurement, and large cancer resections
» Non-GYN cytology and peripheral blood smear review
» Intraoperative consultations with approximately 3–5 frozen sections per week (ENT, Lung, Skin, occasional Neuro, donor procurement)
» PA performs all grossing; clerical and frozen section assistants available during business hours
» Pathologist will cut frozen sections after hours when needed
» No Pap smears or autopsies
» Participation in tumor board every other Thursday at 7:00 AM
» Night call includes surgical pathology for possible OR cases and clinical pathology (primarily blood bank calls)
