- Weekend coverage -- Friday 4 - 7 pm through Monday 7 am
- Inpatient service coverage need
- Patient census typically 5 - 10 pediatric cardiac patients
- Step down unit -- shared 20-bed unit
- Morning and afternoon rounds with in-between availability
- 24hr inpatient call required
- Procedures very rare -- laid back call coverage
