Pediatric Cardiology Locums Job in New Jersey | 24-Hour Call Coverage | Beginning October 1 – Ongoing | Assignment #116510

Coverage Details
-- Ongoing coverage beginning October 2026
-- One week of call coverage per month

Shift Description
-- Monday 8 AM through the following Monday 8 AM
-- 24-hour call coverage for 7 consecutive days (168 hours)
-- Round on pediatric cardiology inpatients
-- Provide pediatric cardiology consultations
-- Read in-house echocardiograms and electrocardiograms
-- Answer and respond to all service calls
-- Discuss all potential transfers and ECMO candidates with Pediatric Cardiology Medical Director
-- Provide and receive sign-out
-- Not required to remain onsite outside of 8 AM – 5 PM unless clinically warranted

Call Details
-- 24-hour call coverage for 7 consecutive days
-- One week per month

Requirements
-- Board Certified in Pediatric Cardiology
-- Ability to independently perform and interpret echocardiograms
-- Comfortable evaluating and managing patients in:
---- Pediatric Emergency Department
---- Pediatric Floor
---- Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU)
---- Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
-- Ability to perform ECHO if sonographer is unavailable

Additional Information
-- Patient volume is census driven
-- In-house sonographer available during daytime hours (8 AM – 4:30 PM)
-- Provider will work alongside the pediatric cardiology group, which will continue outpatient and clinic responsibilities
-- Must communicate with Pediatric Cardiology Medical Director regarding transfers and ECMO candidates
-- Temporary/emergency privileges available if needed
-- EPIC EMR (hospital and clinic)
