Pediatric Critical Care Position - 30 minutes from Charleston, SC
Job Description
Medical Group is seeking a full-time BC/BE Pediatric Intensivist
-- BC or BE in Pediatric Critical Care or Pediatric Cardiology with extra year of CICU training required; double-boarded Pediatric ICU-Cardiology also accepted
-- In-house days; home call at night; flexible call schedule
-- Typically 12-hour or 24-hour shifts
-- Weekend shifts as part of rotational schedule
-- Level III NICU support; inpatient pediatric floor and ER consults
-- On-call duties likely required to support the CICU program
-- 2024 census: 373 pediatric admits; 85 PICU admits; average daily census 4.1
-- 19,000+ visits in 2024
-- Telephone consult available with quaternary care center
-- Procedures include intubations, LPs, line and chest tube placement, and CPR
-- Teaching opportunities with a family medicine residency program (residents participate approximately 4.5 days per week for half the year)
