- Shifts run 7am - 7am (24-hour coverage)
- Avg inpatient census -- 1 baby born per day
- Avg admissions per day -- 1 patient in hospital
- Attendance at C-sections when requested by OB provider
- No ICU/critical care duties -- no ER backup required
- Codes responded to in nursery only
- NRP, PALS, and BLS certifications required
- Hospital privileges required
- Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
