Inpatient Pediatric Neurology and Inpatient Pediatric Epilepsy Locums Job in Charleston, South Carolina | Beginning October 5th & Ongoing | Assignment #116501
Coverage Details
-- One week (7 consecutive days) per month
-- Provider will cover 24 hour shifts. Monday at 8am to Monday at 8am.
-- Inpatient Pediatric Neurology provider will round with Resident Team. Providers will round on inpatients, ICU, NICU, ER and other consults. Average patients per day 6-12 inpatients.
-- Average 4-8 pager calls per night that include consults, calls from caregivers, etc.
-- Inpatient Pediatric Epilepsy provider will see patients in epilepsy monitoring unit (avg 4-6/week), read all inpatient and outpatient EEGs. Average 8 inpatient EEGs/day and 10 outpatient EEGs/day.
-- Remote Night EEG coverage, 5pm to 8am. Options of per night rate, full week of 7 nights, or weekend beginning Fri 5p-8a then 24h 8a-8a rate Sat and Sun.
-- Average 5 EEGs per night monitoring. MUSC will provide a laptop with the Natus software for remote EEG reading.
-- Provider needs to be familiar with Natus, EEG platform.
