Responsibilities
We are launching a brand-new OB-GYN Hospitalist program at Sequoia Hospital and are seeking an experienced OB-GYN Hospitalist Medical Director to lead the development and long-term success of this program. - Provide clinical leadership and oversight for the OB-GYN hospitalist team
- Lead program development, including workflows, protocols, and team culture
- Drive quality improvement, patient safety, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with hospital administration, nursing leadership, and community OB/GYNs
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and mentorship of hospitalist providers
- Ensure compliance with clinical standards, regulatory requirements, and best practices
- Schedule: 24-hour, in-house shifts
- Team Structure: 1 Medical Director + 4 OB-GYN Hospitalists
- Scope of Practice:
- OB and GYN triage and surgery
- Labor & delivery management
- Obstetric and gynecologic emergencies
- Inpatient consults
- Hospital Deliveries: about 1,200 births annually
- 24-hour in-house anesthesia
- Interventional radiology
- Level II NICU with Medical Director support from Stanford
- Maternal-Fetal Medicine collaboration with Stanford specialists
- Team-based care alongside experienced community OB/GYNs and nursing staff

Qualifications
What We’re Looking For
- Board-certified OB-GYN
- Active California license (or ability to obtain)
- 5 years of clinical experience preferred
- Prior leadership experience strongly preferred
- Passion for building programs, mentoring providers, and driving clinical excellence
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Benefits and Compensation
Pay Range Based on Hours: Annual compensation is $312,000 - $438,000. Medical Director stipend is $25,000.Regular full-time is classified as team members who are consistently scheduled and work 30 hours or more on a weekly basis.
