Responsibilities
Pediatric Hospitalist Medical Director | Winchester, VA Why This Opportunity Stands Out
- Leadership role with clinical balance—guide program growth while maintaining direct patient care
- Block scheduling designed to support work-life balance
- Daytime rounding with out-of-house call (30-minute response time)
- Advanced Practice Provider support during the day
- Opportunity to teach and mentor Family Medicine residents
- Collaboration with UVA, INOVA, and Children’s National subspecialists
- Partnership with Pediatrix NICU providers to ensure continuity of care
- 17-bed pediatric floor and newborn nursery
- Approximately 2,400 annual deliveries
- Pediatric floor ADC: 5
- Newborn nursery ADC: 15
- Provide leadership for the pediatric hospitalist program
- Drive quality, safety, and patient experience initiatives
- Support physician and APP recruitment and retention
- Partner with hospital leadership on program development and growth
- Foster a collaborative, high-performing team culture
