This 424-bed, not-for-profit hospital maintains a CARF-accredited rehabilitation program providing specialized inpatient care for patients recovering from stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, multiple trauma, amputations, and other complex conditions. The facility offers a broad range of services and maintains established clinical protocols and dedicated resources to support quality rehabilitation outcomes. A full interdisciplinary team, including therapy staff, rehab nursing, case management, and social work, is in place to facilitate coordinated, goal-directed patient care throughout each assignment period.

About the Clinician's WorkdayThe physiatrist will provide comprehensive rehabilitation care for patients with neurologic, orthopedic, and complex medical conditions during day shifts, with Saturday availability designated as high-priority support for admissions. Responsibilities include participating in team rounds, performing patient evaluations, establishing functional goals, and coordinating discharge planning in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team consisting of Hospitalists, PT, OT, SLP, Nursing, Case Management, and Social Work. The clinician will provide medical oversight, pain and spasticity management, and ensure goal-directed rehabilitation outcomes in accordance with facility protocols. Experience in spinal cord injury rehabilitation and prior inpatient rehabilitation experience are preferred for this position.
