Part time Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner for an outpatient private practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado

Seeking a Part time Physician Assistant/Nurse Practitioner for an outpatient private practice in Colorado Springs, Colorado  80918. We prefer the candidate to have experience in joint injection and Trigger point injections but willing to train as well. The ideal candidate will Perform exams, evaluate clinical data, consult with our MD and team, order appropriate tests and provide accurate and useful diagnostic information, patient education, documentation and help direction for the management of the patient’s care.

Candidates with an orthopedic/ Physical Med and Rehab or Family medicine and Nutrition weight loss background will be preferred. We will accept new graduates!!

Office hours and days candidate will work: Monday and Wednesday 8-6, Friday 8-12, No nights, no on-call and no weekends

The PA/NP needs to:

·    Be licensed to practice in the state of Colorado

·    Present their record of practice and certifications (i.e. insurance history or claims of malpractice)

·    Be open minded to physical medicine, rehab and non-drug therapies

·    Present Medicare # (UPIN) or information needed to acquire

·    Be skilled at performing injections

Desirable (but not necessary):

·    Working knowledge of Physical Therapy or Exercise Rehab

·    Ability to do Peripheral Nerve Blocks

·    Ability to do Trigger Point injections (IM not sub-Q or IV)

·    Ability to do Joint injections

·    Ability to Do Suparts knee injections

   Ability to use diagnostic ultrasound to visualize joints and as needle guidance

·    Familiarity with reading and reviewing the following:

q  Nerve Conduction Velocities (NCV)

q  Needle EMG

q  Spirometry

·    Familiarity with Nutrition
