- Ongoing assignment -- ASAP start
- 10 - 15 patients seen per 24-hour call shift
- Inpatient hospital setting
- Minimum of two APCs required per weekday
- 1 MD practice -- over 100 heart surgeries per year
- Beeper call -- 1:3 ratio, 24-hour shifts (7 am - 7 am)
- 30-minute call response time required
- Cardiovascular and cardiothoracic surgery patient population
