Experienced Academic Geriatric Psychiatry Opportunity – Eastern NC

A well-established academic department in Greenville, North Carolina, is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Geriatric Psychiatrist to join a growing team. This is a full-time, faculty position with rank (tenure track or fixed-term) and salary commensurate with experience.

Position Highlights:

• Academic faculty appointment with inpatient and outpatient clinical responsibilities
• Inpatient consults only on a 52-bed behavioral health unit
• Outpatient care at both a psychiatry clinic and geriatric center
• Monday–Friday schedule with no overnight call
• Balanced mix of patient care, teaching, and scholarly activities
• Opportunity to help shape services at a new 144-bed behavioral health facility, opening in fall 2025, with 24 geriatric beds
• Active involvement in training medical students, residents, and other health professionals
• Strong interdisciplinary and collegial work environment
