This program delivers rapid-response psychiatric care directly to clients in permanent supportive housing or to individuals at risk of homelessness due to acute medical or psychiatric illness. A multidisciplinary rounding team conducts psychiatric evaluations and manages medications, including MAT, for a high-acuity population, with services delivered across a broad geographic scope. The program serves adults navigating serious mental illness, dual-diagnosis, and housing instability within a mission-driven community mental health framework.

Los Angeles offers a broad range of cultural, entertainment, and outdoor attractions suited to varied interests. Clinicians on assignment may explore destinations such as the Hollywood Walk of Fame, Griffith Observatory, the Getty Center, the La Brea Tar Pits, Universal Studios Hollywood, and the Santa Monica Pier, as well as historic sites including Olvera Street and El Pueblo de Los Angeles. The area supports an active calendar of events, from film festivals and outdoor music to seasonal family-friendly experiences at locations including Doheny State Beach and the Santa Monica Mountains.

Clinicians will provide full-time outpatient psychiatric care for a high-acuity adult population, working 40 hours per week during day shifts structured as five 8-hour days (7:30 AM - 4:00 PM) or four 10-hour days (7:30 AM - 6:00 PM), with no call requirements. A caseload of 3-5 patients per day is anticipated, with approximately two-thirds of the day delivered in the field alongside a team member such as an LCSW or LMFT; clinicians are not required to drive, as transportation is provided by the team. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations, managing medications including medication-assisted treatment (MAT), and developing treatment plans for patients presenting with serious mental illness, dual-diagnosis, and housing instability. Clinicians will participate as part of a multidisciplinary rounding team delivering rapid-response psychiatric services to clients in permanent supportive housing or those at risk of homelessness; credentialing is estimated to take 3 to 5 weeks, and a live-scan is required prior to the start of the assignment.
