Psychiatrist | Denver, CO

Salary: $280,000 - $320,000 annually
Additional Compensation: $2,000 per weekend on-call assignment

Join a collaborative behavioral health team dedicated to providing exceptional psychiatric care across residential and partial hospitalization settings. The Psychiatrist will diagnose and treat a range of mental health conditions, prescribe and manage psychotropic medications, provide psychotherapy, determine appropriate levels of care, and work closely with multidisciplinary teams to support positive patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and medication management.
• Treat patients with mood, anxiety, eating, and co-occurring disorders using evidence-based practices.
• Determine appropriate levels of care and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with therapists, nurses, referring providers, and family members to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Participate in utilization reviews and advocate for optimal patient treatment and length of stay.
• Support quality improvement initiatives, education, mentorship, and program development.

Qualifications:

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
• Completion of an accredited Psychiatry residency program.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Psychiatry and/or Child & Adolescent Psychiatry.
• Active Colorado medical license (or ability to obtain).
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Knowledge of Joint Commission and regulatory standards.

Schedule & Call Requirements:

• Full-time (1.0 FTE), Monday-Friday schedule.
• Participate in the medical staff weekend call rotation.
• Call coverage runs from Friday evening through Monday morning.
• Conduct in-person inpatient rounds on Saturday and Sunday mornings.
• Provide psychiatric call coverage for inpatient units during assigned weekends.
• Additional compensation of $2,000 per weekend call assignment.
• Current call frequency is approximately once every 2-3 months.
