(Login for Information), under the umbrella of the (Login for Information), Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services ((Login for Information)) is seeking a dedicated (Login for Information) (PCN 24166) to join our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team in (Login for Information).

This per diem position offers a flexible Monday through Friday schedule, within a supportive and mission-driven clinical environment.

ABOUT OUR AGENCY:

The(Login for Information) Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS), is a health care agency whose mission is to promote the overall health and wellness of persons with behavioral health needs through an integrated network of holistic, comprehensive, effective, and efficient services and supports that foster dignity, respect, and self-sufficiency in those we serve.

(Login for Information), a community mental health center serving Middlesex County and the towns of Lyme and Old Lyme, is operated by the (Login for Information) Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services (DMHAS). RVS’s goal is to provide the highest quality crisis intervention, case management, and residential and clinical services to adult citizens, 18 years of age and older, who suffer from serious mental disorders and who lack the financial means to secure such services in the private sector. 

The Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) team provides services to individuals struggling with serious behavioral health and substance abuse issues that often interfere with connecting and following through with treatment. ACT is an evidence based practice that uses a multidisciplinary team treatment approach to deliver highly responsive, individualized recovery based services in an individuals in the community and home.

• A comprehensive medical examination, including a drug screening, will be required of all applicants upon a conditional offer of employment.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS - GENERAL EXPERIENCE

• Incumbents in this class must possess and maintain a license to practice medicine and surgery issued by the Connecticut Department of Public Health in accordance with the applicable Connecticut General Statutes. A temporary license may be granted for a period not to exceed one (1) year.
• Incumbents in this class must have completed at least one (1) year of residency program experience in psychiatry approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education (ACGME).

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

• Incumbents in this class must possess and maintain eligibility for participation in federal health care programs as defined in 42 U.S. § 1320a-7b(f).
