Job Description

Northern Light Acadia Hospital is seeking a board-certified/board-eligible Psychiatrist to provide per diem coverage on our Adult and Pediatric Inpatient teams in Bangor, Maine. This is an exciting opportunity to practice within a state-of-the-art facility and join two of the most well-respected programs in the state.

Position Highlights:

  • Join and lead an interdisciplinary team known for delivering high-quality psychiatric care
  • Provide clinical leadership, teaching, and mentorship to care team members
  • Participate in teaching and lecturing opportunities within our Adult Psychiatry Residency Program if desired
  • Flexible shift options depending on coverage needs

Compensation Information:

  • $165.00 hourly rate.
  • The compensation range listed reflects the range (Login for Information) anticipates relying on in setting the wages for the position. The range may not necessarily include all additional compensation elements available, including but not limited to call pay, leadership stipends, etc.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee diagnostic evaluations and develop comprehensive, individualized treatment plans
  • Ensure all therapies and therapeutic activities align with treatment goals
  • Conduct initial evaluations, initiate treatment interventions, and provide ongoing patient care
  • Contribute to program development
