Job Description
MEDICAL DIRECTOR- Mental Health Outpatient Services Northampton MA
seeking an experienced psychiatrist as medical director to provide leadership to our five outpatient behavioral health centers. This position is based in Northampton, MA and requires a combination of direct service and administrative responsibilities.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Doctorate Degree in Medicine (MD or DO) with Board Certification in Psychiatry.
Experience using electronic medical records (EMR) software.
At least five years of clinical practice in mental health.
Experience at a mental health facility with outpatient care is desirable.
Familiarity with medical care delivery systems and experience with utilization management, quality improvement, and peer review is an advantage.
Demonstrates skills suitable to working with contracts, provider relations, and member services and interpreting benefits.
Knowledge, experience and demonstrated success in medical/clinical management operations in a managed care environment is preferred.
