Job Description

  • Inpatient state hospital psychiatry
  • No call, weekends, or overtime
  • Multidisciplinary treatment environment
A New Jersey state psychiatric hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for ongoing locum tenens coverage. Providers will care for adult patients with severe and persistent mental illness within an inpatient treatment setting. Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, admissions, treatment planning, medication management, multidisciplinary team participation, and discharge planning. The practice environment includes long-term psychiatric patients, civil commitment populations, and complex behavioral health cases. The schedule is Monday through Friday with no call responsibilities, no weekends, and no overtime requirements.
