A New Jersey state psychiatric hospital is seeking a Board-Certified Psychiatrist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment within an inpatient behavioral health setting. The facility serves adult patients with severe and persistent mental illness requiring long-term psychiatric treatment and stabilization.
Responsibilities include psychiatric evaluations, admissions, medication management, treatment planning, participation in multidisciplinary treatment teams, and discharge planning. Providers will work closely with psychologists, social workers, nursing staff, and rehabilitation specialists in a structured state hospital environment.
The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule with no call responsibilities, no weekend coverage requirements, and no overtime expectations.

$225-$250/hour plus lodging assistance
