Clinical responsibilities include rounding on an average of 12 patients per day and managing an average of 3-4 admissions per week, with a patient population consisting of acute adult psychiatric cases including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. All patients are involuntary, with an average length of stay of 21 days and some patients remaining up to 180 days. Call coverage is negotiable, and prescriptive authority is required for all clinicians considered for this position.
