Northern California Per Diem Psychology Opportunity

Gould Medical Group is seeking a per diem Psychologist to join our Behavioral Health Department with a primary focus on psychological assessment and testing.

This position is ideal for a psychologist who enjoys assessment work and is looking for a part-time opportunity within an integrated healthcare setting

Gould Medical Group is a growing, 600+ clinician multi-specialty group located about two hours east of San Francisco, California. Our communities offer quick access to the bay area as well as other hot spots such as Napa Valley, Yosemite, and Lake Tahoe. 

Position Details:

• Per diem opportunity for psychological or neuropsychological testing.
• Starting base salary: $110 per hour for scheduled, patient-facing clinical template scheduled services only. Compensation does not include in-basket management, telephone encounters, My Health Online (MHOL) activities, dictation, form completion, or any other administrative duties.

• Schedule and hours are negotiable based on department needs and candidate availability.

Position Responsibilities:

• Conduct psychological assessments and testing based on clinical referral questions.
• Select, administer, score, and interpret appropriate standardized psychological tests.
• Integrate test results with clinical history, behavioral observations, and other available information.
• Prepare clear, comprehensive, and clinically useful psychological evaluation reports.
• Provide feedback regarding assessment results and recommendations to patients, families, and referring providers as appropriate.
• Collaborate with psychiatrists, therapists, primary care providers, and other members of the healthcare team.
• Maintain timely and accurate clinical documentation in the electronic medical record.
• Practice within applicable professional, ethical, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, or a closely related field from an APA-accredited program.
• Current California license as a Psychologist.
• Training and experience in psychological assessment and testing.
• Strong knowledge of standardized psychological assessment instruments, test interpretation, and report writing.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
