The (Login for Information), Department of Correction ((Login for Information)) is seeking to fill multiple positions for a highly motivated and experienced Psychologist to join our behavioral health clinical leadership team as a (Login for Information).

This recruitment will be used to fill three (3) active first-shift vacancies, one in East Lyme, one in Enfield, and one in Suffield, CT. POSITION HIGHLIGHTS

  • SHIFTfirst shift, full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • SCHEDULE7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., Monday through Friday 
  • LOCATIONS: (Login for Information) (Enfield, CT), (Login for Information) (East Lyme, CT) or (Login for Information) (Suffield, CT)
  • NOTEThis is a Hazardous Duty position. Selected candidates will be required to attend a 3.5-week hazardous duty training at the Maloney Center for Training & Staff Development located in Cheshire, CT. See Selection Plan for more information. 

YOUR ROLE 

Supervising psychologists work within a dynamic, fast-paced, multidisciplinary team comprised of social workers, psychologists, psychiatrists and APRNs, as well as medical personnel and custody staff, all sharing the common goal of providing high quality, service-oriented care to our incarcerated populations.

Supervising Psychologists within the correctional setting provide a range of clinical, administrative and supervisory functions to persons in custody. In this role, you will work within a clinically rich setting, with opportunities to provide a mix of clinical, supervisory and administrative functions. These duties include:  

  • Administrative Management: manage staff scheduling and coverage;
  • Clinical Leadership: provide clinical supervision and lead multidisciplinary clinical teams;
  • Clinical Healthcare: conduct psychological testing, deliver individual psychotherapy and implement behavior management strategies.

The Supervising Psychologist will also be responsible for providing clinical consultative services within the facility for complex cases. Additional opportunities to engage in collaborative care planning with external support services and research driven programming, are also encouraged and available.
