Locum Pulmonary/Critical Care Position - 1 hour from Denver, CO
Job Description
Facility seeking Locum Pulmonary Critical Care Physician
--Must have recent level I trauma experience
--3 facilities need locums coverage
-- Level I Trauma: In-house 7a-7p (includes rounding) and in-house 7p-7a; other pulmonologists onsite
-- Level II Trauma: In-house 7a-7p (includes rounding); offsite pager call 7p-7a; other pulmonologists onsite
-- Level III Trauma: In-house 7a-7p (includes rounding); offsite pager call 7p-7a; locum is the only pulmonologist onsite
--Each locum will only be assigned one location per 12 hour shift.
--Coverage is capped at 7 days consecutively and will rotate between locations to allow for lighter days between shifts.
--Coverage needed is 30 shifts per month in total for all locums.
--Setting: Inpatient, Level I, II, & III Trauma
--Inpatient Pulmonology is preferred, Critical Care Intensivist is required for ICU.
--Required Pulmonary Procedures: Ventilation Management, Invasive (ETT/NT/Tracheostomy), Non-invasive (BiPAP/CPAP), Bronchoscopy, Diagnostic, Diagnostic with Bronchial Alveolar lavage, Chest tube insertion, Central line insertion, arterial line insertion, Thoracentesis, Therapeutic with Foreign body extraction.
--Critical Care Practice Settings: Cardiac arrest/failure, respiratory arrest/failure, sepsis, metabolic disorders, renal failure, OD/poising, drowning, etc. patients. Surgical: Pre- and post-operative general, vascular, orthopedic, neuro, and cardiovascular/thoracic patients.
--Critical Care procedures: Insertion of PA catheter, Dialysis catheter placement, diagnostic/therapeutic taps, lumbar punture, and paracentesis are preferred.
--EMR: EPIC
--Lab onsite, x-ray onsite.
--Supervision not required
--20 Pulmonologists in group and 10 mid-levels
--Required: BC Pulmonary Critical Care, CO license or IMLC, DEA, ACLS, BLS, clean malpractice and background, NPDB Self Query report within 30 days
