This hospital with a large cancer center provides dedicated radiation oncology services in a structured on-site outpatient setting in Iowa. The facility is equipped with the Varian TrueBeam linear accelerator system and supports a comprehensive range of external beam and radiopharmaceutical treatment modalities. Established clinical protocols and appropriate resources are in place to support coordinated oncology patient management throughout the coverage period.

The state is home to destinations such as Effigy Mounds National Monument and the Loess Hills, as well as state parks with opportunities for kayaking and hiking. Clinicians will provide outpatient radiation oncology services Monday through Thursday, 9:00 AM to 4:30 PM, at this on-site facility in Iowa, with no formal call requirements; remote availability for side effect management via the hospital call system is expected. Daily responsibilities include managing 8-10 on-treatment patients per day, with a treatment volume ranging from 3 to 15 treatments per day. Treatment modalities delivered include external beam radiation therapy (SBRT, electrons, 3D, IMRT, FSRT) and radiopharmaceuticals including Pluvicto, Xofigo, and Lutathera, with treatment delivery supported by the Varian TrueBeam system. Hospital privileges are required for this assignment, and board certification in Radiation Oncology and prescriptive authority are required.
