Cardiothoracic and Cardiovascular Surgery Locums Job in Utah | 24-Hour Call | 3/28/2026 - 4/6/2026 | Assignment #113696

Coverage Dates

Shift Details
-- 24-hour call coverage
-- Call coverage only; no clinic coverage

Requirements
-- Board Certified or Board Eligible
-- Utah license
-- Utah DEA

Required Procedures / Skills
-- Thoracic surgery
-- Cardiovascular surgery

Assignment Details
-- Level II trauma center
-- Patient load approximately 10-12 patients per week
-- Approximately 3-5 consults per 7 days
-- Approximately 1-3 surgeries per week
-- Usually 1 cardiac case and 2-3 thoracic cases per week
-- Practice performs approximately 80 heart cases per year
-- Support staff includes 1 APP, 1 MA, 1 MOS, and 1 RN
-- Provider must perform cases independently and has no NP assist
-- Vein harvest team provided by the hospital
-- NP available to assist Monday-Thursday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM when not on planned PTO
-- Outside NP availability, the on-call provider is responsible for rounding on patients
-- EMR: Meditech
