Cardiothoracic Surgery Locums Job in Washington | Monday-Friday + Weekend Call | Beginning October 2026 - Ongoing | Assignment #116561
Coverage Details
-- Earliest start date: First week of October 2026
-- Looking for coverage 10-14 days per month, including weekend call
-- Preference for one provider to cover the full assignment
-- Will consider providers with ongoing long-term availability of at least two weeks per month
-- Credentialing: 60-90 days (Providers with a clean history may qualify for expedited privileges)
Shift Description
-- Monday-Friday, 7 AM-5 PM
-- Clinic one day per week
-- Inpatient practice setting
Call Details
-- Weekday night call: 5 PM-7 AM
-- Typically 2 weekday call nights per week plus weekend call
-- Weekend call: Friday 7 AM through Monday 7 AM
-- Beeper call
-- Required response time: 30 minutes
-- Call covers both cardiac and thoracic surgery patients
-- Coverage periods cannot end mid-weekend and typically conclude Friday at 7 AM or Monday at 7 AM
Requirements
-- Board Certified in Thoracic Surgery
-- Active Washington license or IMLC eligibility
-- Resident/teaching supervision required

-- General CV/Thoracic Surgery
-- Open and endoscopic procedures
-- Coronary artery bypass surgery (CABG)
-- On-pump and off-pump procedures
-- Valvular repair and replacement
-- Aneurysm repair
-- Cardiac and aorto-thoracic procedures
-- TAVR
-- CABG
-- Vent management
-- Evaluation and management of acute volume/BP issues
-- Central line insertion
-- Arterial line insertion
-- PA catheter insertion
-- IABP insertion
-- Impella 5.5 implant/support
-- Aortic valve conservation procedure
-- Aortic root remodeling and enlargement procedures

-- Support Staff: 2 RNs, 1 MA, 3 PA/NPs
