This 332-bed inpatient hospital provides surgical and medical services to the adult patient population served. The facility maintains established clinical protocols and the infrastructure necessary to support call-based general surgery coverage on an on-site basis. Clinical operations are structured to ensure quality surgical care delivery throughout each assigned holiday coverage period, with mid-level support staff available to assist clinicians.

A vibrant arts and culture scene features museums, galleries, and performing arts venues, while distinct neighborhoods and a university campus contribute to the local character. Clinicians will provide 24-hour in-house general surgery call coverage on 7:00 AM to 7:00 AM shifts across ED and floor settings at an on-site inpatient facility, with no clinic duties associated with this assignment. Coverage is required for the following holiday periods: November 26 - 29, December 19 - 20 (if available), December 24 - 27, and January 1 - 3. Primary responsibilities include admissions, rounding on practice patients, triaging and answering patient phone calls (general, post-operative, and other inquiries), and coordinating with on-call physicians and mid-level clinicians. Laparoscopic and robotic surgical experience is required, and board certification in General Surgery, an active state license, and residency and fellowship training are required for this assignment.
