- 24-hour call only coverage
- 0 - 3 patients per shift -- unassigned/ED patients only
- Surgery only -- no endoscopy
- Full hospitalist and ICU attending coverage -- consultant role only
- 2 - 4 calls while on call; called back 0 - 2 times per shift
- Bread and butter general surgery skills required
- 6 general surgeons on staff covering their own patients
- We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly
