- 24-hour call shifts -- call starts at 5 am with 2-hour callback time
- Inpatient and outpatient coverage both required
- Admissions required -- beeper call with 2-hour response time
- General surgery (adult) procedures required
- Appendectomy and cholecystectomy skills required
- GI endoscopy (upper and lower) required
- Preferred: trauma, laparoscopic surgery, and chest tube insertion
- Hospital privileges required
- Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
