- Summary: Endovascular neurosurgeon needed at a high-volume stroke center for - 1 2 weekends a month
- Availability: about 10 days per month. Coverage scheduled in 2–3 predictable blocks of 3–4 consecutive days
- CLINICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- The locum physician will provide comprehensive inpatient care for urgent and emergent cerebrovascular disease, including:
- Mechanical thrombectomy for acute ischemic stroke
- Ruptured and complex intracranial aneurysms
- Subarachnoid hemorrhage
- Intracranial hemorrhage requiring neuroendovascular intervention
- Cerebral arteriovenous malformations (AVMs)
- Dural arteriovenous fistulas (dAVFs)
- Carotid and intracranial occlusive disease
- Other urgent cerebrovascular conditions requiring open or endovascular management
- Responsibilities include:
- Emergency Department and inpatient consultations
- Interpretation of advanced cerebrovascular imaging
- Diagnostic cerebral angiography when clinically indicated
- Mechanical thrombectomy
- Endovascular aneurysm treatment
- Other neuroendovascular procedures
- Open vascular neurosurgical procedures when appropriate
- Peri-procedural inpatient management
- Coverage is limited exclusively to vascular neurosurgical patients

- License: ME, IMLC and DEA
