- 24-hour call shifts -- 7 am to 7 am
- 7 - 10 calls per 24-hour shift
- Hospital setting -- privileges required
- 70% spine surgery, 30% cranial surgery
- Common cases: lumbar laminectomy, ACDF, spinal deformity
- Craniotomy for hematoma, tumor, and shunt placement
- General neurosurgery skills required
