Plastic Surgeon - Katy TX

The Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in the Department of Surgery at the McGovern Medical School at the University of Texas Health Sciences Center at Houston (UTHealth) is seeking a plastic surgeon for our community Memorial Hermann Hospital in Katy, TX. Candidates would be considered at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor of Plastic Surgery at UTHealth and should be Board Certified or Board Eligible. Completion of a microsurgery fellowship or hand surgery fellowship is preferred but not required.

At Memorial Hermann-Katy (MH-Katy) in Houston, this practice will encompass all aspects of trauma reconstruction, ortho-plastic reconstruction, breast reconstruction and general plastic surgery. With its own active Cancer Center and full time UTHealth breast oncology surgeon, MH-Katy offers the opportunity to establish a broad clinical footprint and collaborate with the entire spectrum of providers at both UTHealth and Memorial Hermann as a system. As the largest employer in the city of Houston, the Memorial Hermann system offered a large footprint of over 12 regional hospitals with both private and affiliated physicians to collaborate with in this program. Opportunity for regional growth at other Memorial Hermann locations is available as the practice expands. MH-Katy is undergoing a large expansion at the campus, with a new Level 2 trauma designation. This role would also encompass call for facial and hand trauma as this is built out, with need for other reconstructive procedures for associated trauma teams. This role will partner with other regional roles in the MH system for call coverage, care collaboration, and significant opportunities for growth of new faculty and programs.
