- Call only -- beeper call with 20-minute response time required
- Call ratio: 1:2
- 4 - 5 phone consults, 4 - 5 patients seen, 4 - 5 admissions per 24-hour call
- Inpatient only setting -- rounding and admissions required
- General CV/thoracic surgery -- open and endoscopic procedures required
- CABG (on pump and off pump), valvular repair, aneurysm repair required
- TAVR, LVAD, AICD placement, lung resection including VATs required
- Bronchoscopy, vent management, esophagus and diaphragm surgeries required
- Paid malpractice insurance; pre-paid travel and housing expenses
- Assignment details and time entry in online portal
