- Beeper call -- 20 minute response time
- Call ratio: 1 in 3
- Avg per 24-hr call: 6 patients seen, 10 patients per shift
- Adult and pediatric populations treated
- Laparoscopic surgery -- appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernioplasty
- C-section, D&C, hysterectomy, and GI endoscopy required
- Vascular surgery skills required -- aneurysm repair, arterial bypass
- Chest tube, central line, PA catheter placement required
