The facility operates as an on-site urgent care clinic, providing walk-in services for patients of all ages across a broad range of acute and non-emergent conditions. The clinic is staffed with a full complement of clinical personnel, including medical assistants, registered nurses, respiratory therapists, advanced practice providers, and physicians, to support consistent and efficient care delivery. Established clinical protocols are in place to facilitate quality-focused care throughout each assigned coverage period.

The assignment area is situated near Lake Tahoe, a destination known for year-round outdoor recreation and natural attractions. Clinicians on assignment may explore hiking trails such as Eagle Falls and Eagle Lake, as well as water activities including kayaking, paddleboarding, and boat tours on the lake. Mountain activities such as zip-lining and tubing at Heavenly Ski Resort are also available, and nearby Truckee offers additional points of interest including Donner Memorial Park and a historic downtown with diverse dining options.

Clinicians will provide urgent care services during day shifts at an on-site clinic, working 4x10 shifts per week with clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM, seven days a week. The expected patient volume ranges from 20 to 35 patients per shift, encompassing evaluation and treatment of acute illnesses and injuries across all age groups. Clinical responsibilities include suturing, splinting, and management of acute care presentations including cold and flu cases. Board certification and prescriptive authority are required for this assignment; no call responsibilities are associated with this position.
