seeking Locum Urology Physician for ongoing coverage
--Shift Details: 24 hour call; 7a-7a
--2026 Schedule: Dates are below, then Jan 2027 ongoing is approx. 1 weekend per month from Thursday night call at 4p through Monday at 7a (24-hour call coverage):
September 8-10 (ending 7a Sept 11)
October 13-14 (ending 7a Oct 15)
October 19-21 (ending 7a Oct 22)
November 1 (ending 7a Nov 2)
November 3-4 (ending 7a Nov 5)
November 9-11(ending 7a Nov 12)
November 25-30 (ending 7a Dec 1)
December 7-9 (ending 7a Dec 10)
December 11-13 (ending 7a Dec 14)
December 17- 30 (ending 7a December 31)
Support staff: Urology PA, inpatient support
--Amount of coverage needed per month: 4 – 10 per month; 24-hour call shifts
--Patients per day: variable - patients are not scheduled
--Patient population/age: Adult (18+)
--EMR: Cerner – inpatient; GE centricity – outpatient (to review patient records if admitted)
--Level II Trauma Center
--Special procedures:
- Possibly cystoscopy and or stent placement for hematuria
- Kidney stone treatment with possible extraction or holmium laser lithotripsy
- Torsion of testicle – (rare occurrence)
- UTI
- Consultation with ED or other providers for Foley Catheter placement
- **Rounding if the locum performs procedure and patient is in house
--Skills required: 24-hour weekday coverage, rounding on inpatient setting in AM and possible emergency surgery if needed. This is a busy setting as facility is the hub for three outlaying facilities
--Required: BC, PA license or IMLC, DEA, ACLS, Minimum 1-2 years experience
