Wound Care Director Position - Northeast Alabama - 1 hour from Birmingham
Job Description
Medical Center is seeking a BC/BE Wound Care Physician to serve as Medical Director of an established Wound Care and Hyperbaric Medicine service line
-- 100% outpatient
-- Monday–Thursday 8am–4:30pm; Fridays until noon
-- No call; no inpatient duties
-- 90% clinical / 10% administrative
-- Medical Director stipend in addition to clinical compensation
-- Average 13–16 wound care clinic patients and 2–4 hyperbaric oxygen patients per day; strategic focus on growing the census
-- Comprehensive treatment of diabetic, venous/arterial, pressure, and surgical wounds
-- 2 HBO chambers on site
-- Certified Wound Care RNs on staff
-- Strong referral pipeline from local podiatry, general surgery, vascular surgery, and family practice providers
-- Medical Director responsibilities include clinical chart review, policy development, and staff education
-- EMR: Luvo
-- Preferred specialties: General Surgery, Podiatry, Plastic Surgery, and Vascular Surgery
-- New graduates and experienced physicians welcome
