Administration-Management Hospital Based job located in Oregon
Job Description
Local hospital has immediate opening for Chief Medical Officer (CMO) near Coos Bay OR. This position has both medical and administrative duties.
Medical Staff Duties (partial)
- Serves as a liaison to strengthen the relationship between the hospital administration and medical staff, by facilitation of positive communication and cooperation
- Attends medical staff meetings
- Support the core elements of the strategic plan by putting patients first; build people, create culture; build new services & win/win partnerships; create frictionless, convenient experiences for all; high quality and financial stability
- Monitors and evaluates clinical quality within the organization, working together with the hospital administration and medical staff to foster a culture of patient safety and highly reliable patient care through utilization of best practices to improve clinical outcomes while reducing unnecessary care
Administrative Duties (partial)
- Meets regularly with and reports to the CEO
- Serves as a member of the executive management team, assisting in strategic development of initiatives and business strategies, and the direction of the organization
- Participates in the annual operating and capital budget process
- Develops programs to assure compliance with all relevant licensing and accrediting bodies, and with all quality, legal and regulatory requirements
- Defines and promotes the principles of population health and value-based care
- Develops population health strategies and manages interventions, people, and programs that address the clinical and utilization needs of various risk-based population
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS/LICENSES/DEGREES(
Graduate from an approved school of medicine
- Current and active Oregon physician license or ability to obtain
EXPERIENCE
- Five (5) or more years’ experience in medical practice
