Cardiac Electrophysiology Hospital Based job located in North Carolina

Charlotte, NC area - Locum EP opening September 30, 2023 - December 31, 2023
EP coverage for two of every five weeks (Monday through Friday) to assist with new consults and transferred patients.
15 avg pt per day - Adult Patients
Support Staff is 3 other EP Physicians and 5 EPP APPs
Weekday/Weekend hours 7a-5p - can be the same Physician or two docs can cover
Round daily on hospitalized patients followed by the EP service and perform needed procedures on hospitalized patients followed by the service.
The service is very busy, and responsibilities include performing elective procedures on our own patients each day, procedures that are added on for hospitalized patients (pacemakers, ICDs, ablations), seeing new consults from the ED, general cardiology, HF, and hospitalist services, and patients transferred from regional sites for EP eval / potential procedures, and finally rounding on those patients who require ongoing / daily EP management in the hospital.
The days are long, and the week is long.
In addition to the Mon - Fri 8A-5P coverage - on call is needed for:
Sept 2-4 (Labor Day weekend / Monday)
