Critical Care Medicine - Nebraska
Requirements:
ABMS Board certified in Pulmonary Medicine/Critical Care
Sleep Medicine is a possibility
Bronchoscopy, biopsy, thoracentesis, fluoroscopy, spirometer
Practice Expectations and Description:
Provide Leadership to Create a High Level ICU
Consultant service including outpatient work as well as inpatient consultation
and management
1 in 3 call as outlined in the Medical Staff by-laws.
Provide high quality customer service to patients and family members.
Typical office day 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Typical call day Hospital consults and calls
with clinic from 10 a.m. to 5 pm.
Maintain proper, timely and complete medical records of services provided to
patients.
Hospitalist Program currently manages short-term vents and oversees patients in
ICU. All mechanical ventilation and sepsis patients in the hospital are managed
by the hospitalists, along with consulting on all critically ill patients.
No general internal medicine work.
Outreach clinics will be required after 6-8 months of practice.
active Cardiopulmonary Department including Cardiac Rehab, EEG-EKG, Pulmonary
Rehab, Respiratory Care and a Sleep Lab.
Ultrasound Bronchoscopy capabilities are available in the Endoscopy Suite.
Pulmonary Function Testing is available
