Nephrology Single Specialty Group job located in West Virginia

Kidney Specialists PLLC was founded in 2012 by Dr. Babak Barmar. The practice currently has three nephrologists and one advanced practice provider. Today the practice serves renal patients in Martinsburg, West Virginia and Winchester, Virginia.

Hiring/Benefits Package

• Base salary: $220,000-$250,000 DOE
• Medical/Dental/Vision: up to $10,000
• 401k match: up to $7,500
• CME stipend: $1,500
• Malpractice/Licensing/Hospital privileges: up to $10,000
• LTD/STD: $5,000
• Relocation stipend negotiable
• 5 weeks PTO (including CME)

Partnership Track Details

• Term eligible for consideration upon reaching productivity
• NO buy-in
• Compensation: 40% of collections with profit distribution bi-annually or annually
• PTO increases
• Medical Directorship eligibility
• Dialysis Center investment eligibility, when available

Standard Work Schedule

• Four-day work week
• Dialysis patient rounding / comprehensive visits occur 3rd full wk of every month
• 1/2 day of CKD morning clinic
• 1/2 day of hospital rounding afternoon (one geographical area)
• Call schedule is equally divided - alternating weekdays and weekends

Practice Facts/Details

• 2,500 CKD patient base
• 3 office locations
• 100 new office consults monthly
• 190 ESRD patients
• NP assists with rounds
• Coverage at 4 hospitals
• 20-30 daily average inpatient census
• No admission or discharges
• 900 encounters monthly

Physician Team

Babak Barmar, MD is originally from Iran and received his medical degree from RWTH Aachen in Germany. Both his internal medicine residency and nephrology fellowship were completed at the University of Pittsburgh. In 2008, after completing his fellowship, he began working at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Martinsburg, WV. Four years later he started Kidney Specialists PLLC.
